Thanksgiving is a time to get together with family and friends and it often means using recipes handed down through the generations.

This morning, chef Cody Michael has his take on a dish he learned from his great-great grandmother.

We were live in the kitchen with him Tuesday to talk about sweet potato biscuits.

Recipe: Sweet Potato Biscuits

3 cups of mashed sweet potatoes
2 cups of self-rising flour
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
1/2 Tsp of baking soda

Roll dough in a mixture of flour and sugar before patting into biscuits
