PALM SPRINGS, Fl. — The names of the people who were killed when a small plane crashed into a mobile home park in Palm Springs on Tuesday have been released.

According to the Sun Sentinel, 64-year-old Dan Shalloway and 21-year-old college student Banny Galicia were both killed in the accident.

Crews arrived at the Mar Mak Mobile Home Park around 5:30 p.m. after several calls were received saying a plane was flying too low and crashed.

One mobile home was destroyed and another was damaged.

A resident told reporters he say the plane “sputter, rock back from side to side and then plummet down into the mobile home park.”

Shalloway was flying from an area near Orlando to Palm Beach County Park Airport when something went wrong.

Dan Boggs, an air safety investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board, told reporters he didn’t believe the pilot radioed for help before crashing.

The plane was destroyed when it hit the ground.
