I-40 reopens after tractor-trailer wreck, spill

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two tractor-trailers crashed on Interstate 40 westbound Friday morning, spilling diesel fuel and causing a traffic backup.

Drivers were diverted off I-40 to the Austin Peay exit. The interstate reopened around 1 p.m.

Memphis Police said the crash happened about 9:20. Two people were taken to hospitals from the scene.
