ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, Ark. — WREG has just learned Interstate 40 heading eastbound is closed after a semi was involved in an accident.

According to initial reports, the 18-wheeler crashed near Mile Marker 225 in St. Francis County and caught on fire.

It’s unclear if any other drivers were involved in the accident or if the driver sustained any injuries.

Law enforcement officers and the fire department are on the scene.
