Risk for severe weather on the first day of the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There’s a good chance today of showers and thunder showers, along with a slight risk for severe weather, as our latest cold front rolls across the region.

Mostly locations will receive between ¼ and ½ inch of rain.

It will be clearing and cooler overnight.

Lows will fall into the upper 50s by Friday morning.

Sunshine, north winds and highs in the upper 70s for Friday!

Our un-settled weather pattern is about to come to an end for a few days.

Rain/thunder with today’s cold front will be replaced with sunshine and a much more comfortable air mass for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Showers will return next week, with temperatures climbing rapidly after next weekend.
