MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have suspended one of their own after he was arrested Wednesday.

Officer Edrick Braxton was arrested around noon. He was indicted Tuesday on charges of aggravated sexual battery, three counts of official misconduct and one count of official oppression.

Police confirmed to WREG Braxton has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of an investigation.

Braxton is a patrol officer and has been with the department since 2010.

He has since been released on a $10,000 bond and appeared in court Wednesday.
