Man critically wounded after being shot in Cherokee neighborhood, police say


MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the Cherokee neighborhood late Sunday evening, according to Memphis Police.

MPD said officers arrived to the scene in the 1400 block of Semmes and located a man sustaining a gunshot wound. The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Memphis Police said there is no suspect information available at this point.
