CROSS COUNTY, Ark. — Storm clouds weren’t the only things that were brewing on Tuesday.

Accusations were also coming forward that Cross County District Court Judge Joseph Boeckmann reportedly traded court favors for sexual ones.

He was accused of having male defendants pick up the trash at his home so he could take pictures of their backsides.

“I think something like that, that happened in our small town is just sick,” said Kimberly Chisem.

Chisem said that alone is enough to destroy her trust in the judicial system.

“And it makes me fear for the rest of  the citizens in this town. ”

According to the report filed by the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission, Judge Boeckmann used his influence over male litigants for his “personal and sexual desires.”

One of his alleged victims, who was charged with a misdemeanor, testified he let Boeckmann photograph him with and without clothes for money.

The report stated some inappropriate behavior dated back to 2009.

Tuesday afternoon, the judge’s courtroom in Downtown Wynne was closed.

We went to Judge Boeckmann’s home to get his take on the accusations against him, but no one answered the door.

Debbie Harbin lives down the street and said, from what she has heard, the judge is on the wrong side of the bench.

“I don’t know what to think. I mean he’s supposed to represent the law, but apparently not.”
