(Memphis) Hundreds turned out for the burial of Officer Martoiya Lang. Lang was killed in the line of duty serving a drug warrant a week ago.

A riderless horse lead the way into Memorial Park Cemetery on Hacks Cross Road. A horse drawn carriage carrying the body of the Memphis officer followed right behind. The cemetery was filled with hundreds of officers, friends and family, including her four young daughters. They built a human wall around the children as they walked to their mother’s gravesite.

The solemn service lasted less than an hour but it contained many traditions to honor the fallen officer. After Lang’s family received the American flag, there was 21 gun salute. A fly over of area by area law enforcement helicopters followed.
