(Hernando, MS 10/10/2009) After going through many leads, Hernando Police received a tip that lead them to a possible suspect who may have been the assailant in last week's "Road Rage" incident in Hernando.

When officers looked at the subject's vehicle, they noticed some things were recently missing from the truck ( the flowmaster sticker) and others were freshly added (a flame sticker). This threw up a red flag and lead to more questions.

Investigation lead to a confession from the suspect that he had shot into the victim's vehicle last Saturday night.

Police arrested 22 year old Jeffrey Bateman of Coldwater MS on 3 counts of Aggravated Assault.

The investigation is still ongoing and there could possibly be more charges as investigators learn more about the shooting.

Police say valuable tips from Crime Stoppers and exposure from the media helped solve the case.

The victim is still recovering at the Med and there is no update on his condition as of yet.
