(Memphis 9/10/09) As President Obama spoke on Capitol Hill Wednesday night, members of the Mid-South Tea Party, like Mark Herr were packing their bags.

A group of about 30 from the party loaded up their cars, painted the windows, put up their flags and headed to Washington before dawn Thursday morning. They call themselves, the freedom train.

"A lot of people can't go because they are working hard, we are going for them," said Herr.

Their goal is to share their message against what they call 'big' government in Washington. And while they agree there's a need for healthcare reform, they have their own ideas on how it should be done.

"Reform is needed like tort reform opening all 1300 insurance companies to competition among all the states," he added.

Instead of heated conversations and making calls to their representatives, they are driving close to 900 miles in 13 hours to meet with them face , with members from other tea parties around the country. On Saturday they will take their message to the streets, marching on Washington with thousands of others. " President Bush spent a lot of money when he left office 700 billion, that's a lot of money... President Obama spent 787 billion in February."

They say their message is one they can't afford to keep to themselves and they're hoping it won't fall on deaf ears at the Capitol.
