(Memphis 2/26/2009) News Channel 3 has confirmed Shelby County Superintendent of Schools Bobby Webb is resigning.
Dr. Webb, who has held the job since January 2002, has recently been ill and has been on leave.
Dr. Webb will turn in "a letter of retirement" today.
After Spring Break, Dr. Webb will return three days a week to aid in the transition then leave permanently June 30.
