FAST FACTS:
(West Memphis, AR 7/15/2009) Tonight there are allegations of police brutality against two West Memphis police officers.
Officer Rodger Brigman and Officer Aaron McCall are on paid administrative leave following an incident Thursday.
A 911 caller told police her boyfriend, Eric Holley, had stabbed her. According to the report, officers found blood all over the woman's apartment. Once they spotted Holley's SUV, they say he refused to stop.
Police say they pursued him through the streets of West Memphis. The report states Holley was all over the place, driving down the wrong way of an 1-40 exit ramp, weaving through traffic. Police say he even caused another driver to go off the road.
When they caught up with him near the Arkansas Tennessee bridge, police say he refused to get out of the car, so Officer Brigman tased him. Once he was on the ground, police say Holley tried to bite Officer McCall, so McCall hit him in the face.
Holley's sister, Jacqueline Malone, says according to her brother, the officers used their guns to hit him.
"They fractured his nose, his nose was on the other side of his face and they messed up one of his eyes," said Malone.
"They need to be in jail," she added.
She admits her brother's been in trouble before, even served time for murder, but she says that doesn't give police the right to beat him.
"That's my brother, it could've been someone else's brother, son, sister or whatever, it just wasn't right," she said.
Holley did receive medical treatment before he was sent to jail. No comment from West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert on these allegations. The Arkansas State Police says it can't comment either.
Meanwhile, Holley's family hired an attorney, it's certainly possible a lawsuit could be coming.
