NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A paternity test has revealed that former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was not the father of a teenage girl from Mississippi.
The teenager's mother, Clover Lee, filed paperwork Friday on her 17-year-old daughter's behalf, asking for part of the estate, pending paternity test results.
WSMV-TV in Nashville reports that a McNair estate spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that those results proved the girl is not McNair's daughter.
Police said McNair was shot to death on July 4 in a Nashville condo by his mistress, who then turned the gun on herself.
McNair's estate, valued at $19.6 million, is currently being divided among his widow and four sons.
