(Memphis 07/30/2010) Gail Mathes represented Sherra Wright during her divorce from Lorenzen Wright.
Mathes says several weeks before Wright went missing, Sherra told her about a strange visit to her Collierville home.
Mathes says Sherra answered the door to find three armed men, their guns tucked into their waistbands. She says they were looking for Lorenzen, but he was not at the home.
Mathes says Sherra didn't report the incident until this past Monday, because the men threatened they'd harm her and her kids if she told anyone about the visit.
WREG News Channel 3 has confirmed police talked with Sherra Wright Friday, in conncection with the Lorenzen Wright murder investigation.
Mathes says Wright has been well aware of the finger pointing and rumors swirling about Lorenzen's death. "Apparently the police even want to speak with one of her children," says Mathes. "Of course she feels like her children know nothing. She feels like it's subjecting a child to a trauma that's completely unnecessary."
Mathes says she's been in close contact with Sherra during and after the search for Lorenzen Wright. "I can tell you she has had nothing but profound concern," she says. "It's outrageous that they would point the finger at her. She still loved Lorenzen Wright."
