A relative says Price was angry because a student spit on her seven-year-old daughter. The relative says Price went to Riverview Elementary School on Joubert to confront the girl's parents.

We're told the parents of the girl Price went to confront were not at the school. MCS says Price confronted a school administrator.

Suspect Toni Price's mother Bennie Price says her daughter brought the weapon to fend off pit-bulls on the way to Riverview, not to threaten anyone once she arrived at the school.

The suspect's mother says her daughter never took the blade out of the cane, but according to the affidavit in the case, the victim told police Price "pulled out a knife from a walking cane and told her that she was going to cut her."

The suspect's seven-year-old daughter also told News Channel 3 she saw her mother pull the knife from the cane.

A spokesperson for MCS says administrators noticed something was strange right away, immediately called police and officers arrived before anyone was injured.

The affidavit says Price told officers she drank a 40 ounce Colt 45 before she went to the school. We observed several empty bottles of beer in a garbage can and on the ground at Price's home while we were interviewing relatives.
