(Bartlett, TN 12/22/09) You've heard it said teens today are too busy or too concerned about themselves to think about others.

Don't tell that to one 16-year-old who is making sure some families who might go without have a Christmas feast on their table this year.

Brent Rainer helped feed nearly two dozen families for Thanksgiving and decided that just wasn't enough.

Tasse Williams and her children got a surprise Tuesday when 16-year-old Brent Rainer and his mother showed up at their door with a box of food just days before Christmas.

"This is actually a turkey. It has directions you can warm it up. It is already cooked, said Denita Clark, Brent's mother. For more updates from the field follow me at http://www.twitter.com/melissamoon3.

Back in November Brent raised enough money from friends, his church and school to deliver Thanksgiving meals to around 20 homes.

This time he got some help from Bellevue Baptist Church to make sure some families in need have a Christmas meal and more this year.

"This will do a world of good and healthy stuff," said Tasse Williams.

Brent says he just couldn't stand thought of knowing some families might have nothing on their tables on Friday.

"I wanted to do it because I understand there aren't as many families as blessed as us. Also I like serving people," said Brent.

With the food from Bellevue and turkeys donated by members of his baseball team Brent plans to help more than a dozen families and hopes to do even more next year. It is no surprise to his mother.

"I think he's amazing. He has a warm heart he loves to help other people," said Clark.

Those he helped today were overwhelmed by the generosity.

"I don't know what to say. I just know God is good," said Tasse Williams.

And amazed to know all of this was organized by a teenager.

"It's a blessing to know there are children out there and not everyone is lost," said Williams.

And Brent, who is just one day shy of his 17th birthday, says he has learned this holiday season that it feels much better to give than receive.

"One more hug. Thanks so much," said Williams.

Brent also got some help from his church Sycamore View Church of Christ in Bartlett to locate families in need of assistance.
