Investigators say Nash stabbed her baby inside her family's home on Pope Water Valley Road. Deputies were dispatched to the Tri-Lakes Medical Center Saturday night after Nash and her parents brought the newborn to the hospital. Authorities say the boy was already dead by the time they arrived.

The nature of this tragedy isn't lost on investigators who often come across horrible scenes. "It's an empty feeling that you feel," says Sheriff Otis Griffin. "It's a void that's there."

Sheriff Griffin says the parents were unaware Nash was pregnant.

An preliminary autopsy in the case revealed the baby boy died from a stab wound to the abdomen.

Sources tell us Nash is a junior at North Delta School.
