Mississippi Police Chase Ends In Memphis
(Memphis 12/21/2009) A police chase which started in Southaven, MS ended in Memphis.

Two people are in custody near the Wolf River bottoms at Covington Pike and I-40.

Southaven Police say the chase started around 10:30 this morning. During the chase "stop stix" were used and two tires were flattened.

Memphis police took part in the chase when it crossed over the state line.

Daniel Cox, 44, was arrested on the scene and charged with Felony Evading Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/ Deliver/ Sell to wit: Methamphetamine, Driving on a Revoked License. Mr. Cox also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Melissa Beckham, 39, was also arrested on the scene and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/ Deliver/ Sell to wit: Methamphetamine.

Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force and Memphis Fire Department checked the vehicle on the scene for hazardous material and determined the vehicle to be safe.
