(Memphis 12/24/2009) Mother Nature's downpour didn't discourage last minute shoppers from scooping up the last items on their Christmas lists just before closing time.
It was rush hour inside the Germantown Target we stopped by around 4:00 p.m. We met folks picking up all kinds of stuff. Ole Miss student Ben Weir told us he was shopping for a new television for his parents.
Pretty generous guy, but then he admits, "It's kinda their money, I'm doing them a favor," he laughed.
The check-out lines were filled with patient customers.
Outside, the rain continued to pour down as Memphians hit grocery stores.
"Panic when you know the grocery store is gonna be closed tomorrow, even if you don't need something you go get it anyway," said Tony Griffin.
One last trip before the big holiday gathering.
