FAST FACTS:
(Lake Cormorant, MS 11/16/2009) DeSoto County Sheriff's Department investigators arrested 23-year-old Joey Johnson today.
Johnson is charged with multiple counts of Sexual Battery.
The alleged violations occurred during the current school year and involve multiple victims.
At the time of the alleged violation, Johnson was working as a substitute teacher at the Lake Cormorant High School in DeSoto County.
DeSoto County Sheriff's investigators urge any other unidentified victims to contact the sheriff's investigators by calling 662-429-1470 or visiting the sheriff's office located at 311 West South Street in Hernando, MS.
Bond for Johnson has been set at: $100,000
This is the second such arrest in less than a week in DeSoto County.
Southaven police charged Tyler Bigham, 22, with sexual battery Nov. 9.
Bigham, who teaches music at DeSoto Central High School, reportedly was caught having sex with a 17-year-old female student at Snowden Grove baseball complex in Southaven.
