(Dyersburg, TN 03/28/2010) Cindy Parker's casket was placed in an ambulance after her funeral service.
The procession wasn't of cars but ambulances from across the Mid-South, full of the people who worked closely with the woman they say loved her job.
"She just loved it. It was just in her. She was born to do that, born to do that," said Parker's brother-in-law Kenny McGuire.
Parker spent five years as a flight nurse but her passion for helping people began with her nursing career in 1996.
She was one of three people killed when their medical helicopter went down in Brownsville after dropping off a patient in Jackson.
"She's sorely going to be missed by the aviation, the air medical community I should say and she was a great person that we know and a Christian lady and we're going to miss her."
Parker's funeral is the first of three.
On the same Sunday she was buried, some of the same people gathered to say goodbye to 34-year old Misty Brogdon. The wife and mother of two, spent nearly eight years as a flight nurse with Hospital Wing and many say she never met a stranger.
"Misty was on of those people who when she was round, you felt the happiness in her voice, you saw the happiness in her face. She loved her kids. She loved her husband. She loved her job," said Andrea Abbott.
The three people on the helicopter are being called "Fallen Heroes" by the air medical community.
Their memories and sacrifices for the job will not be forgotten and the love they had for others will live on.
"Cindy was just an outstanding person. She loved everybody. She loved her family and its going to be really hard to replace her."
