UPDATE 3/10/2010: Memphis police have taken three teens into custody in relation to a reported rape near East High School. According to police, two of the possible suspects are 18-years old and the third is 16-years-old. A 17-year-old girl said she was raped yesterday near the school by five males, four of whom are East High students.

Police confirm the alleged rape happened near East High School Tuesday, but not on campus. Police would not disclose an exact location.
MCS released the following statement Tuesday regarding the incident: "We are always extremely concerned when one of our students is harmed. The entire MCS family offers their prayers and support to the student and family. We will continue to give full interagency cooperation in the investigation of this matter."
