(Forrest City, AR 6/2/2010) Dogs, bloody and bruised after a huge dog fight.

YouTube video allegedly shows what happened at the Forrest City Animal Shelter Sunday.

Human Society volunteers found fighting during an after hours check of the facility.

"Let me tell you when I walked in there I could not believe it. That dog he had multiple puncture wounds. It was horrible. He went into shock. We did every thing we could to save him. It just couldn't be done," says Janie Hicks, President of the Forrest City Animal Shelter.

She says the dogs were caged together.

A female dog was in heat.

The male dogs began attacking a weaker male lab named Bozo, who was killed.

The other two injured dogs are now at an animal clinic.

Harris, a pit bull, still has puncture wounds in his head.

Shorty, a mixed breed, also has severe bite marks.

"When you have a dominate dog and a weaker dog, the dominate dog will go after the weaker dog and when that happens all other dogs go after the weak dog. That is what happened to this dog," says Hicks.

The Animal shelter director wouldn't talk on camera, but showed us the caged areas and says the aggressive and passive dogs were not left together.

Police are investigating.

"We are investigating and after I investigate I will turn over to District Attorney's office to see whether or not a criminal investigation needs to be filed," says Forrest City Police Chief Dwight Duch.

"I hope the city and Mayor learn from this. This cannot go on. There are gonna have to be some major changes right away," says Hicks.

This is not the first time there have been complaints about the Forrest City Animal Shelter.

Back in October another You Tube video highlighted problems.

Back then, Forrest City's Mayor called the video inaccurate.

The Mayor did not return our phone calls today.

But Humane Society officials say the Mayor has asked to meet with them.
