(Memphis 11/18/2009) We haven't even cooked the Thanksgiving turkey yet and the Christmas spirit is already invading Memphis.
Radio station 104.5 FM has transitioned to an all Christmas music format 24/7 through Christmas day. The format change has become an annual tradition for the station which typically plays soft rock hits.
At the Orpheum Theatre, Cirque Dreams Holidaze has overtaken the stage.
The Christmas themed show features jugglers, acrobats, music and aerial acts. Each act celebrates a part of the magic of the holiday season. The show runs through Sunday.
According to the Orpheum, "Cirque Dreams Holidaze Kid's Night will be Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 pm. This original new musical extravaganza is filled with spectacle, imagination and whimsical dreams. Ornaments come to life as costumed characters who perform astonishing feats that celebrate the holiday season and showcase pageantry, ingenuity and breathtaking artistry.
Graceland will turn on its Christmas lights Friday night at 6 pm.
The Memphis Christmas Parade has been scheduled for December 5 on Main Street from St. Paul to Huling. The parade kicks off at 5 pm.
