(Memphis, TN/July 2, 2010) She is the undisputed queen of talk on Memphis radio station 1070 WDIA-AM. Now Bev Johnson is trying to position herself on another throne. This one would have her seated next to TV talk show host Regis Philbin.

Johnson said, "They're looking for a woman in radio to co-host with Regis during the month of August. I said gosh, that's fabulous. I can represent WDIA and represent the city of Memphis."

For 26 years Johnson has been a familiar voice on WDIA, 23 years of those years she's hosted "The Bev Johnson Show." The award winning talk show host and news anchor recently entered the "Women of Radio Contest with Regis and Kelly." Johnson's dream is to co-host with Regis for one day while Kelly Ripa is on vacation in August.

Johnson said, "I think I'm funny. I'm smart and I'm just me. I'm just girlfriend and I think I'd fit right in with Regis to help him and bring something positive to the city of Memphis."

Johnson hopes the city of Memphis and her listeners will give her enough votes to temporarily step from behind the radio microphone and into the national TV spotlight on "Live with Regis and Kelly."

Johnson said, "It's been looking pretty good. My Facebook fans have been telling me they've been voting. My listeners have been calling saying they've voted. Hopefully, all the listeners and people of Memphis will vote for me and I'll get a chance to sit in with Regis."
