We move to the Eighth Congressional district to look at the three top candidates in the Republican primary, and how they're doing when it comes to fund raising.

Stephen Fincher is tops on the list. He has more than seven hundred people listed as contributors. Fincher has raised more than nine hundred thousand dollars from those contributors, and another forty six thousand in smaller contributions. Total contributions amount to more than one million, 28 thousand six hundred eighty three dollars. After spending just over two hundred thousand dollars in a three month period, Fincher still had more than one million dollars on hand at the end of 30 days.

Ronald Kirkland raised five hundred eighty eight thousand, six hundred sixty six dollars from more than five hundred twenty donors. He raised another eighteen thousand, six hundred 91 dollars in smaller donations. Kirkland also took out a quarter of a million dollars in loans. Total cash raised in three months was eight hundred fifty seven thousand, three hundred fifty seven dollars. After spending just over seventy seven thousand dollars, Kirkland had on hand just over seven hundred eighty thousand dollars in cash.

George Flinn's donor list is small, compared to Fincher and Kirkland. One hundred forty people on the list contributed one hundred fifty two thousand dollars. Flinn also received six thousand dollars in political action committee money. Add a loan of one hundred thousand dollars to this, six thousand ten dollars in small donations, and George Flinn raised two hundred sixty four thousand, seven hundred eighty two dollars. Flinn spent one hundred thirty eight thousand, five hundred ninety four dollars in a three month period, and had one hundred twenty six thousand one hundred eighty eight dollars on hand.
