JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Supreme Court on Thursday declined to hear an appeal from a Jackson man given two life sentences given in 2005 deaths of the mother of his three children and her new boyfriend.
Michael Williams was convicted in 2007 in Hinds County in the shooting death of 25-year-old LaTonya Thompson, of Jackson, and 22-year-old Calvin Jennings, of Pelahatchie, at Thompson's Jackson home. The state Court of Appeals upheld the conviction in 2009.
Williams was sentenced to two concurrent life terms without parole and three years for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
