BEEBE, Ark. (AP) — Charges against a Beebe school librarian have been dropped after lawyers played a recorded phone message in which the alleged victim admitted lying about having sex with the woman.
Prosecutors charged Rebecca Sue Harvey with sexual assault in August for allegedly having sex with the student, who was a high school senior. Harvey, who resigned after being accused, worked with elementary school children.
Prosecutor Chris Raff said Wednesday the alleged victim made up the story and says the assault did not happen.
Harvey's lawyer acquired the recording and played it for prosecutors.
