Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres to appear at Water Tower this morning
Chicagoans don't have to wait until the latest "O" magazine hits newsstands next week to get their hands on a copy. Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres, who both appear on the cover of the December issue, are stopping by Water Tower Park, 180 E Pearson St., this morning to hand out 1,000 copies to fans, DeGeneres tweeted:

Oprah. Me. First 1000 issues of O with our cover. 10:00 Water Tower Park. See you there!

Originally DeGeneres said they would appear at the park at 10 a.m., but Luis Arroyave, who's covering the event live on his blog, has been told it will probably be closer to 11 a.m.

On her talk show, DeGeneres ran an ongoing joke where she lobbied to get on the cover of "O" and created various mock covers (view the covers here). After finally winning Oprah and co. over, DeGeneres revealed the real cover of the magazine on her show yesterday. DeGeneres will appear on the "Oprah Winfrey Show," Monday, November 9.
